Our server suffered damage disks during a electrical storm (Saturday, Aug 24, 2008) and power outages. The server needs to have new disks and I cannot afford them right this moment. Please give me a few days to figure out something in the mean time. Right now I am trying to fight to recover files off the damaged drives as my backups are a few weeks old and I want the last 3 weeks recovered...

Our server is a specialized unit that takes expensive harddrives (see for yourself on EBay, I need 2 @ 73GB or 2 @ 160GB would be more than I would ever need), I NEED AN EXTRA FEW HUNDRED BUCKS (hint, hint) some how to get these drives soon (I can save enough to be able to buy near the end of September)! Not only do I need one, but with the RAID0 and RAID1 SAS drive systems, 2 hard drives act as one so both need to be replaced so they are exact duplicates. Out of the 2 drives that are on the "fritz", I can only access one to try to recover files (I have only been able to retrieve about 20% of lost files and even then they have no filename or directory structure) and I cannot get this "almost" working drive to initialize on the server so I believe both need to be replaced. Plus the 2 SAS drives I have are only 36GB total and I have to be so careful with space that backing up files meant having to spend an hour to clean up so many things first to make room for temp files (so needless to say I neglected this procedure too often as I knew having 73GB drives would make it 95% easier and 90% faster to make my full backup and not run our of temp space, I have now lost a lot of work recently due to this).

If you can help out with some spare change, I will gladly give something back in return. I have many sites that get tonnes of visitors where I could run ads for you, I could help you with a small web project, maybe give you some hosting, let me know what you what, I can probably do it!
